Hedin Business Center is looking for a Senior Accountant
Hedin Business Center provides professional and devoted support to our Import Operations including Hedin US Motor, the exclusive importer and distributor of the Ford F-150 in Europe - Hedin Adventure Car - the official distributor of INEOS Grenadier across 11 markets in Europe, Hedin Premium Car - the importer of the prestigious brand Hongqi in 6 markets in Europe and Hedin Distribution AG - the official distributor of XPENG in Switzerland.
Who are we looking for?
We are now looking for a Senior Accountant to take on the overall responsibility of our accounts. You will be a key player in our team with the opportunity to be part of a fantastic journey in shaping and further developing our Finance department. You will be welcomed by a positive team in a forward-thinking and fast-growing company. The position will be located in our attractive new office space in Mölndal and you will report to our CFO & Head of Business Center.
You have a degree in economics, accounting, engineering or equivalent and several years of work experience in accounting, financial analysis, controlling or similar roles. To thrive in the role as Senior Accountant, it is important that you are comfortable with ownership and responsibility. You are structured, analytical and always deliver timely and accurately. Furthermore, you are a team player who is also used to work independently. We believe you are an outgoing person who finds it both exciting and stimulating to meet new people, have fun at work and enjoy working in an ever-changing environment with high demands.
Your key areas of responsibility:
Production of accurate monthly accounts up to trial balance for multiple legal entities, including nominal ledger reconciliations and reporting of reviewed accounts to Group
Ensure that all import transactions comply with local and international tax regulations, including VAT, customs duties, and other taxes.
Conduct financial analyses to identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies.
Administer Payroll, including collecting employee information and maintaining confidentiality
Support CFO & Controlling team in reporting and other ad-hoc
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure that accounting is accurate and complies with all regulations
Stay updated on changes in regulations related to international trade and ensure the company complies with them.
Furthermore, you have:
Strong knowledge of accounting systems and ERP systems, such as BC, SAP, Visma or similar.
Understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP) and tax regulations affecting import operations.
Experience with complex VAT and customs management issues.
Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.
Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
